RMS Local Port Mapping

Create local RMS listeners and configure RMS3(NB) or other remote protocols, passwords, multiple server targets, and load distribution.

Port Mapping

Each mapping contains a local listener for miners and one or more remote RustMinerSystem RMS protocol addresses.

Add a Manual Port

  1. Select Manual Add on the dashboard.
  2. Choose an unused local listening port.
  3. Select the coin.
  4. Select RMS2, RMS3, RMS3(Zstd), or RMS3(NB).
  5. Enter the RustMinerSystem target as address:port.
  6. Enter the same password if the server port is protected.
  7. Set compression options required by the protocol.
  8. Add more compatible remote targets if load distribution is needed.
  9. Save and confirm the port reaches the running state.

With RMS3(NB), the coin must be BTC or LTC. Protocol, coin, password, and compression options must match every remote server target.

Multiple Remote Targets

One local port can distribute miners across compatible remote targets. This helps when:

  • Several RustMinerSystem servers expose the same coin and protocol.
  • One server has multiple compatible listener ports.
  • The site needs to reduce the effect of a single remote entry failure.

Multiple targets do not perform protocol conversion. Never mix RMS3, RMS3(Zstd), RMS3(NB), or different coins inside one mapping.

Read the Port Table

Field Meaning
Status Running, preparing, waiting, or error.
Coin / protocol Transport type for the mapping.
Remark Operator label used for site, room, or coin filters.
Miner address LAN address to place in miner configuration.
Load distribution Configured remote targets and target count.
Inbound connections Miner connections entering RMS.
Outbound connections RMS connections to remote servers.
Type Synchronized automatically or created manually.

Manual ports can be started, stopped, edited, and removed. Synchronized fields on automatic ports are controlled by the push configuration.

Naming and Safe Changes

Use a consistent remark such as site-room-coin. Before a production change, keep a bypass address, verify the new target, update both ends together, and test a small miner group before a bulk migration. Do not expose local listener ports to untrusted networks.
